Not too long ago, an e-mail came in concerning a new gaming product. Basically, the the e-mail was a press release describing the just released "Game Armor" from Temple Games.

Usually I don't go asking game companies for products to test, but this time I did. I have had problems with a sore wrist from my game playing for many years, and this seemed like a pretty good solution. The "Game Armor", was specifically designed to help aleviate some of the problems associated with long term mouse use, and it seemed perfect for me.

Here is a description of the Game Armor. I have quoted it directly from their web site, as I feel it explains their product far better then I could:

GAME ARMOR ™ is a protective device that is worn on
your forearm. The material which encloses the forearm is a
padded soft- textured nylon for comfort and long wear. The
molded shell is attached to the outside of the material and will
easily slide on the edge or top of a desktop, and is durable
and moderately flexible to prevent cracking and still provide
protection and comfort during intense game playing, or just
moving the mouse or typing at the keyboard. The wrist
support is made of memory foam and is enclosed in the same
soft material. This support raises your arm and wrist just
enough to level your wrist with the mouse or keyboard, thus
reducing the stress and discomfort associated with lengthy
mouse or keybaord activity. And because the memory foam
compacts to the contour of your wrist, it provides comfortable
  support.

I like the look of the Game Armor, and it feels perfect. It is not too heavy to wear, and fits perfectly on my wrist. I was initially concerned that it would feel akward, but actually it feels pretty good. I hardly knew I was wearing it

I used the Game Armor playing one of my favorite mouse games. The hard plastic support kept my forearm protected, and the extra padding on the wrist kept me from experiencing any soreness or discomfort.

Apparently some of the users of the original Game Armor had some minor problems with the velcro straps used to attact the product to your arm. Temple Games assures us they are fixing the problem. In my experience however, the old velcor straps did just fine. I had no problems whatsoever. Improving it will only make a better product, and shows this company will really listen to it's users.

A review like this is hard to write, because the features are limited. The Game Armor was only designed for one purpose, and that purpose was to protect a gamers wrist and forearm. Many, like myself, experience pain during long hours of using the mouse to play. With  this product, the pain was gone. The Game Armor does exactly what is claims to do, and for that it gets a very high rating. I was very throughly pleased.

Is it a must have product? I can't really say that. I have gotten along for years without it, but those were often painful years too. I will say this: If you experience any pain during long term mouse use, this product will definetely make your life easier.
