Now this is a neet game. I never had a chance to play the original, so this was a new experience to me. If the original was half as good as this, I really missed out.
Your goal in JF2 (Jumping Flash 2) is to take Robbit the rabbit, and jump all over the place to rescue the Muu Muu's. Sounds dumb but boy is it fun!
Your jumping ability is this game is unbelieveable. Single jumps enable you to jump over entire skyscrapers. You even have a jump guage to keep you from overshooting your target. In this game you'll jump over buildings, onto flying whales, onto fans flying in the sky, into water, ect. ect.. ect... If you like jumping and shooting, this game is for you!
This is one of the better examples of what can be done with freeroaming 3D polygon graphics. The level designs are supurb. You never run out of things to do. It's not a Mario killer, but it's the best alternative the Playstation has to offer, and a fairly good one at that. (Just don't forget your memory card).
The graphics are nice, but everything looks a little blocky. I would've prefered they use more polygons for the enemies, and a little bit better texture mapping on the environment. Still, all in all, it doesn't look bad.
The sound is average. It seems to fit but it's not spectacular either.
I rate it kinda low for replay value. Once you get tired of jumping around, there isn't much point in playing again. To tell the truth, I didn't even finish the game. I was tired of it way before I had a chance to complete it (and it's a relatively short game too). In other words, it's great fun for a while, and I really enjoyed it, but the fun doesn't last forever.
All in all, if your looking for a few hours of great fun, get JF2, it won't dissappoint you. If you want the same fun but have it last for months, go buy a Nintendo 64 and a Mario 64 cartridge. Because in this game, the fun ends before the game does.
