~Reviews in Brief- Sega Saturn~

Sega Saturn Brief Reviews

We'd like to give a full page review to all games, but that's not always possible. So, as a substitute we have provided this "Brief Review" section to help you determine if a game is worth your hard earned dollars. I know I'm sick and tired of blowing my hard earned cash on crap, and I'll bet that you are too.

At Xcessive gamer we know most new games cost 50 dollars or more. That's a lot of cash, and their not always worth it. As much as we hate to admit, we've all been ripped off by the gaming industry at one point or another. They advertise well, but when we get the product home we sometimes feel as though we've been taken. That's why we want to make sure you get the most "bang for your buck", So read below for the most accurate reviews in the industry.

Reviews listed all have scores. If we do not have a full review, we have listed a brief summary of the game qualities. If we have a review listed elsewhere, no summary is given here. We suggest you visit the Sega Saturn review page for more information.

Bug!
Released at a time when 3D was just in it's infancy. This game didn't generate too much interest. It's not that it wasn't 3D, because it was. It was just that it wasn't a roam anywhere game like most newer 3D type games. I for one never saw the problem with this. Bug is a cute, highly animated character, in a hugh game environment. Graphics are rendered, and every detail was done to perfection. I suggest you give it a try. Even though it's on rails so to speak, it still gives much freedom of paths. I liked it!!

Cyber Speedway
Here's a great game that didn't get all the credit it deserved. This was released at about the same time as Wipeout and that game grabbed all the Headlines. If you ask me though, Cyber Speedway is just as good as Wipeout. The graphics are great, and the speed is fantastic. If you like this kind of game, and have a chance to pick this title up, I suggest you do. It's really a great game!

Pebble Beach Golf Links (Sega Sports)
This is one great golf game! Graphics, sound, gameplay, everything works together well. We only had two gripes. 1) There was only one course. 2) Ocasionally, you couldn't see where you were aiming. Besides these two minor complaints, we were totally pleased. We think you'll like it.
